F1 2014
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-07-15-classic-cars-return-for-f1-2013
Classic cars/racers coming to F1 this year.
Will also feature some old tracks, but WONT allow you to race tracks that are still used as they were (EG silverstone without the chicane).
Course itll likely have an online pa$$ so for that reason - im out.

2 reasons there for me to opt out, not that I was in to start with.

Re: F1 2014
I really like the look of it seems that Codies are at least trying not to fall into the 'same game every year' trap. Not sure on online pass as the game will actually come in two versions....
The F1 2013 Classic Edition which includes all 2013 content + all Classic content
The vanilla F1 2013 which is just the 2013 content without the classic stuff which can be purchased as DLC

Re: F1 2014
Actually Mr dog thats not strictly true. (infact its borderline utter bollocks).
I certainly cant stand watching F1 - but the same goes for - well pretty much any sport (with the exception of the odd boxing match - and its been a while since one of those interested me).
I would much rather play Forza than F1 as it offers a much broader spectrum of styles and such. From the very slow bags of shite to the racing cars with road car shells plonked on the top - as well as all the painting, tuning, engine/drivetrain swopping (a skyline engine in an old datsun 510 - whats not to like?) it just find it 'brings more to the table' (to use the parlance of our times).
I would certainly have scooped up a copy of one of the F1 games by now if not for the fact that cockmasters have gone down the online pass route. This displeases me and I choose to vote with my wallet and opt out of this. (I also generally dislike the codemasters lobby systems which in other titles give you far less control than they should - even in private lobbers - but F1 might be the exception here - I wouldnt know..))
So.. er .. bool sheet

Re: F1 2014
A damning indictment for F1 since we know Forza is also shite (since it's a racing game). Why play racing games when you can just drive a real car around a car park a few times to get it out of your system.HomerRamone2084 wrote:I would much rather play Forza than F1

Re: F1 2014
Forza is much broader and has loads more content. But, the racing. Well, that's a different class in F1 and just so much more exciting.
F1 2010 didn't have an online pass so you should have given that one a go Homer. They only introduced it with F1 2011.
I'm disappointed with the reveal. I'm not too interested in classic cars and just want them to keep refining the handling model, penalty system and adding more online features. It just seems like this one is the 2012 game reskinned and using the classic cars as a gimmick to justify its existence whilst they work on a real next gen version.

Why dont ye join the army young selks ? Then you can travel to interesting foreign lands.. Meet new people.. and shoot them. Its about as likely to happen as you driving a Zonda or an F1 car I suspect.
I think weve covered this a number of times before - and I think its quite clear you find F1 more exciting and I find forza more exciting. Horse for courses (its the market forces). (Or to put it another way theres your version then theres the truth )Daz wrote:But, the racing. Well, that's a different class in F1 and just so much more exciting.

i was surprised tbh, but then, devs / pubs seem to be backing away from it bit by bit.
