Xmas - gaming pressies! Empty Xmas - gaming pressies!

Post by Waylander FWG Fri 6 Dec 2013 - 19:46

It's around the corner, so anyone expecting to get anything gaming related for Christmas? I have God of War: Ascension lined up (means drifting back to PS3 for a while!) but nothing else yet, although the missus still wants some ideas so toying with the idea of suggesting Battlefield 4 or NFS Rivals although I haven't decided.

The wife has brought me an Xbox one, she managed to get one from Argos yesterday and was well chuffed with herself bless her. I don't want it though and don't know how to tell her. I told her a few weeks ago I did not want one as I was happy with the PS4 but she still got it. How do I tell her without hurting her feelings Sad

I wanted to get santy to bring me some games. but im not sure what Sad

Liked the look of knack but its being getting poor reviews. I played NFS the other day and was quite surprised. Didnt care for the last 2 but the latest seemed ok. More like horizon than nfs/paradise.
Dont think ill make it till xmas w/o getting that tho

Not much for me. I have asked for a grip for my Vita and I think my wife is getting me a ticket for the Saturday at Rezzed next year.

I feel for him a bit but why not read the description fully first? If he had saved up all year as he said he had then surely he could have preordered from the likes of Game and pick one up on launch Scratch

Totally agree Chris.

I spoke to the wife last night and explained that as much as I appreciate it, I don't need 2 consoles and Im enjoying my PS4 too much. I spoke to a lad at work who has had it off me now for what she paid so I have not lost out.

I went into GAME on saturday in Brighton when I was away and there is nothing that really interests me on the Xbox One at the moment. I had a go on Forza 5 and its nothing special and was not impressed so after having a think at the weekend I decided to speak to the wife bless her She took it ok though

Good on you Chris, its a lot of money for her to spend regardless but if you have no desire for it then it is a waste.

I saw an article on Twitter earlier that suggested that the duped ebay lad might have been on the scam himself. Its hearsay but allegedly someone who works at CEX posted on their FB that they believe he has since sold the console that he was given.....how much truth there is in this remains to be seen......
