It's Gamescom week. First up you can watch the latest COD multiplayer review this evening at 6pm all the info can be found here.

dont expect much from this, though shall still give it a watch. call it morbid curiosity

After the review they were a bit selective with the tweets they were reading out, they didn't read any of the ones I was reading lol.

Graphically it looks much better than the last one but its just more over the top COD crap, why add so many perks, and score streaks etc, just keep it simple. Ah well thats £50 saved.

And you're right Slow, there are so many games underneath a COD skin, Crysis 2 with the cloaking and it looked very Titanfally too.

Has someone got a link to this cod thing that I've seemingly missed?

Does anyone else have issues with playback of vids on Gamespot?  I am using firefox on my laptop and the visual stutters like mad while the audio is fine.  Even switching the quality to low doesnt seem to sort it

We moan every year but we get sucked into the hype and before you know it you will be buying it

I bought the Hardened version of MW3 and sold it before opening it. Didn't even bother buying Ghosts I did have a go during the free MP weekend which confirmed my thoughts.

Black Ops 2 was the final straw for me in the CoD series. My son has Ghosts on his 360 which I have a blast on every now and again. After watching the video I must admit I am half tempted this year but we will see

Watched the vid last night and am just relieved I jumped off the COD bandwagon a few games ago as I could see this game driving me nuts within about 10 mins.

Yeah I must say I was curious as to wether Sledgehammer would finally fundamentally change CoD gameplay but it seems Activision won't let that happen, instead it just seems like CoD with Titanfalls jetpacks bolted on.....

I think I shall be giving this one a miss

It seems to be nicking a lot from Crysis as well. Either way, I think it will be a confused mess and I don't see this playing well to the competitive scene well either. Surely, as with a lot of recent COD's, more and more will have to stripped out to make the game balanced for competitive play.

well, i've got to be honest, I thought that was an amazing little conference.

great news on the bundles. nice to see a 1TB option too. some of the indie stuff looks fantastic, especially Ori. they have done an incredible job with all that Halo stuff. that package is just nuts. quantum break looks very interesting too

but I gotta say, that Tomb Raider announcement is just incredible. SO glad I went with Xbox now. honestly, I loved the first reboot. would be so gutted if I couldnt play the new one.

ooh, and new free forza cars!!

oh, and the COD SP level, I gotta say looked amazing visually. I was shocked tbh, cos the MP looks fairly average.

It was an OK conferance, bundles do look nice £349 with a game bundled in , FIFA15 should sell a few in Europe. The COD bundle £429 thats far too expensive, ok it has a 1TB harddrive but no Kinect (not that you need one as its shit), memory is cheap so where's the £80 differance? They'd have to pay me £80 even to consider the hideous looking COD XB1, I'll stick to my shiny black VCR one thanks   

Slowdog "Some of the indie stuff looks fantastic, especially Ori." Some of it does but most of it is already available on PC right now at a fraction of the cost MS will charge, most of them don't need high end PCs to run either. Ori looks nice but I don't see why all the excitement for it.

Thought Quantum Break looked shit, graphically nice but the gameplay looked boring as hell, maybe it wasn't shown off very well but what I saw didn't have me looking for the preorder button. Same for Sunset something or other, looks fun for all of 5 minutes.

Tomb Raider announcement, that was out of the blue, that must have cost MS dear to seal that deal and probably the one thing I'm looking forward to that came out of the conferance.

Halo collection, going to be value for money but I still fail to see why all the fuss over rehashed 10 year old games, the small section of remastered Halo2 they showed didn't look that good, nothing like todays games.

Right at the start when they brought on Peter Schmeichel, I thought oh no here we go a masive cringe moment but he did quite a good job I thought.

The Sony conferance was a bit shit to be fair. All prerendered trailers and lots of, talking, off, an, autocue. Trailer before the show for 1886 looked good and Bloodborne but the conferance itself was a bit meh.

Wouldnt have minded seeing some of it but I am still stuck at work.....again  

And was this for real?
