It has been revealed that Forza 4′s cars will boast a polygon count of over 1 million compared to 400,000 in Forza 3, resulting in a staggering level of detail that, dare I say it, could surpass Gran Turismo 5 which had half the number of polygons for its Premium models at 500,000. The high poly count makes sense given that you can open every body panel via Kinect, though how this translates in-game remains to be seen.

I hate to tread old ground once again, but consider this: GT5 has 200 premium models with 500,00 polygons along with a further 800 cars downgraded to 100,000 polygons. Forza Motorsport 4′s entire roster of over 500 cars will potentially have twice the amount detail of GT5′s Premium models. How do you like that, Polyphony?

all this is good,but,how many discs will it ship on? hate the idea of spending ages to install discs when i could be playing the fecker.

To be honest Pais I think the reason Forza 3 shipped on 2 discs was because the game ran an upgraded Forza 2 engine which would have some pretty old compression tools hence the needed space, Forza 4 however uses an entirely new engine with some up to date tools so I would expect this to ship on 1 or 2 discs Smile

Sounds great but all the eye candy in the world won't save the game unless it plays well. Fortunately, T10 have good form in this area

Also on the matter of disc space, didn't the new update for xbox allow for bigger discs?

Only an extra 1GB per disc mate and as far as I know thats now a security sector to stop copying of the discs
