Medal of Honor Multiplayer Beta Impressions

As expected it sounds like a balanced mix of the Modern Warfare and Battlefield Bad Co. series (unsurprisingly given DICE have worked on the MP) while also adding some character of its own. The full article can be found here:

I am looking forward to this, it will have to be good if it is to compete against the current games of the same theme but I have my fingers crossed!

I've been looking forward to getting my hands on this but impressions coming out of the beta so far havn't been great, Heres hoping Dice sort that out!

That doesnt sound good. I know the MOH series is long standing but its hard to jump back into a market that the likes of IW have (for all their own problems) pretty much cornered. A game like this has such a high benchmark to meet to be greeted with acclaim that its almost impossible to satisfy expectation.

Any idea what the issues are Tom, is it that its buggy or just not up to scratch full stop?

gonna be a difficult choice as a group which way we go if wgl are playing both next season?

The complaints seem to be squared mostly at the unoriginality of the game but include alot of bug reports (These will be sorted for release though) and many are moaning at the incredibly slow pace and difficulty of the combat due to it being tuned to a more realistic setting.

It has however had it's looks and sound design praised accross the board.

in all fairness the gameplay vids do look v similar to mw2. the sound of slowing down the gameplay doesnt seem like a bad thing - may get rid of the halo jumping that has invaded mw2. graw 2 had a much slower gameplay but was amazing online.

I still think WGL will go with Black Ops unless looks like it MOH will completely blow it out of the water. Lets see what DICE do to address some of these issues....
