Mechwarrior Reboot announced
Is this the game that OXM was hinting at several months ago but was pulled at the last minute. A game set to be rebooted on the 360?
Piranha games are set to inject some reboot magic into the mechwarrior franchise. Announced for Xbox 360 and PC.

If you’re a fan of blowing stuff up with giant robots — and you fucking should be — then get excited that Piranha Games is developing a full-on reboot to the MechWarrior series for the Xbox 360 and PC. What’s better, they’re partnering with FASA Corporation Founder Jordan Weisman, who pioneered the original BattleTech universe.
The freshly-announced project is somewhat light on details but here’s what we know: in the single-player campaign, you’ll control Adrian Khol, a nobleman who lives loose and fast but will soon discover the error of his careless ways. The game will feature single player, co-op, and multiplayer gameplay, with persistent character progression crossing all three. The new game will also focus on information warfare in the battlefield — scouting and surveying will be vital to discovering the enemy’s location and staging ambushes. Additionally, the game will support dynamic damage to the playing field, but it’s unknown to what extent that will factor into the gameplay.
Also, big fuckoff robots will shoot lasers and rockets all over the place. Awesome.
No release date yet
