Army of Four on the way? Using Frostbite 2?
Rumors are circulating that another sequel to EA's Army of Two is in the works. Apparently, the follow-up to Army of Two: The 40th Day is going to be running on the Frostbite 2 engine, and it's going to be taking the series' bromance from a twosome to a full-blown orgy of machismo masculinity and fist-bumps with four playable characters ass-grabbing their way across the battlefield.
Army of Four, as it's being called (seriously), is said to be in development by EA's Montreal studio, though Kotaku's source said that he expected that EA may have DICE help on the project now that Battlefield 3 is done, as apparently things weren't going well. We don't know if that means the game isn't coming together well, or if the developer is just having problems with the relatively new Frostbite 2 engine, but it's still a disheartening sign.
And that's all we know! Honest! We can speculate that the developer might try and expand the game's multiplayer component, as seems to be the trend with all of EA's properties, but that's based on absolutely nothing. Hopefully we find out more soon, though, because we're dying to find out how EA Montreal is going to animate four people high-fiving at once. Seriously, we bet there have been hours of meetings on that alone.

Only played the 40th Day and quite enjoyed it BUT it was plagued with awful lag and that was just on private co-op so unless they sort that out 4 player will be horrendous.
I would def like to give it a go though as the completely over the top action and unashamed bromancing going on in the 40th day were great cheesy fun.

Andy, myself and Shaun on several occasions had to restart our machines as they just froze mid game. We both installed the game and it made no diff and there was no option of LAN cop-op which was a shame as we played most of the game at his house when our consoles were only a few feet apart - even with both machines using his BB, the game still froze
