Tequila Works & M$ announce Deadlight, looks tasty!

Independent studio Tequila Works’ first published game will be brought to market by Microsoft Studios itself. Deadlight is a “cinematic puzzle platformer” about a man traveling in a post-apocalyptic landscape that will launch exclusively on XBLA this summer. The game follows a man named Randall Wayne, who wields a gun and pickaxe as he struggles to survive in a version of America's west coast in 1986 after a pandemic has killed most of the population.

Madrid-based Tequila Works was founded in 2009 by Raul Rubio Munarriz and Luz Sancho Rodriguez. Its development team includes veterans who worked on games including the Motorstorm franchise, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Diablo III, Heavy Rain, and Overlord II. Tequila Works is dedicated to creating “small tasteful things,” a way of saying that it wants to develop experimental games with high-quality visuals and manageable budgets.
