Left 4 Dead 2 getting new DLC

After nearly a year of play testing, Xbox 360 Left 4 Dead 2 players will finally get ‘Cold Stream.’ The long-awaited map, which will be usable in both campaign and multiplayer, is set to drop of July 24, though Valve hasn’t stated whether or not the DLC will be free.

In addition to the brand-new map, players will also be getting the rest of the original Left 4 Dead maps. ‘No Mercy’ was included with ‘The Sacrifice’ DLC released in 2010, but when ‘Cold Stream’ arrives on July 24, it will bring ‘Blood Harvest,’ ‘Crash Course,’ ‘Dead Air,’ and ‘Death Toll’ along with it.

Valve is also promising that all mutations will be available at all times starting on July 24. That means players will no longer be limited to merely playing whatever mutation is available for a given time period.

More details about the content will be revealed in the coming weeks, but for now we’ll just have to settle for knowing that all this DLC is finally making its way to the 360 in just a few weeks.
