Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes announced Stealth is back! + Metal Gear Movie announcment

Hideo Kojima has kicked off the Metal Gear 25th anniversary event in Japan. A stage show is currently being held for new announcements.

Following the Metal Gear Solid movie unveiling, Kojima pulled back the curtain on a brand new Metal Gear Solid game – Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes.

Based on a variety of tweets, it’s a Metal Gear Solid stealth title an open-world that uses the Fox Engine.

“Demo of ‘Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes’, started w cutscene (all realtime), went into gameplay, open world, night, raining, base. AMAZING … Snake crawled @ avoiding searchlights, killed guard, rode jeep, called in heli for evac. Sounds like MG, but the scale & atmosphere… Wow.”

X-Men and Spider-Man producer Avi Arad announced at the Metal Gear Solid 25th Anniversary event in Japan that Metal Gear Solid is ready to become a movie.

There has been talk in the past of Metal Gear Solid making its way to Hollywood, but it never quite made it. Metal Gear designer Hideo Kojima did hint at a movie earlier this year, but suggested that the series wasn't ready to move into Hollywood just yet.

But clearly, now it is: Avi Arad took to the stage as a special guest at the Metal Gear Solid 25th Anniversary event and announced the Metal Gear movie.

Arad, the producer of X-Men and Spider-Man said "for many years I fought to bring comics to theaters...and video games are the comics of today.
