Black Ops Zombie mode is going to get controversial

Instead of fighting off Nazi zombies as ordinary U.S. soldiers this time you'll be playing as former U.S. Presidents Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy, as well as former U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara and… Cuban communist leader Fidel Castro.

We'll have to admit, we didn't see that one coming.

The scenario will involve all four political leaders having a secret meeting at the Pentagon when, wouldn't you know it, there's a zombie outbreak. This must happen a lot because JFK's got a giant stash of weapons hidden in a secret room, which he then dolls out to the assembled politicos.

The details were revealed in a leaked video clip that starts with the very end of the story campaign. If you didn't want to spoil yourself with that the clip shows a very tongue-in-cheek approach, with Castro moaning about the cost of weapons and JFK portrayed as a whiny brat.

The basic action seems to be largely the same as the zombie mode from Call Of Duty: World At War, with four-player online and two-player split screen action. It's not clear whether The Pentagon is the only setting, but four of the zombie maps from World At War are also included in special edition versions of the game.

You'll know for sure what all the options are when the game is released next Tuesday.
