Black Ops rather suprisingly cut in Japan....

Square Enix has reportedly apologised to Japanese gamers over plans to release an edited version of Call of Duty: Black Ops.

The game's Japanese publisher has been forced to edit the upcoming shooter in order to comply with the country's CERO ratings board, 1UP reports.

All swastikas in Zombie mode will be replaced with an iron cross, while all scenes of dismemberment and "expressions of brutality" in one interrogation scene are being cut too.

Black Ops has also been censored in Germany.

That's quite a suprise, Japan is usually quite lax on content so Black Ops must have some very mature scenes....

understandable for the germans i guess but thought pretty much anything was alowed in japan

now if it was korea.............

I watched a CSI episode last night that mentioned this exact same thing!
I am amazed at the censorship in Japan
