Buy 2 XBLA games, get 400 Points

Microsoft is giving away 400 free points when you buy two Xbox Live Arcade games before 20th December.

What's the catch, you ask? Well, the deal only applies with certain games but fear not, they're all various shades of ace. Well, apart from Blacklight. Here's the list:

To take advantage of the deal, you need to download the Arcade Offer Gamer Picture. Go to Xbox Live Event Registrations on your dashboard, select "Arcade Offer" from the list and select "Download to Xbox 360".

You can also access the gamer pic via the banner ads running on Xbox Live or in the Gamer Picture section of the Xbox Live dash.

After purchasing your desired games, the free points will be either be deposited automatically into your Xbox Live account or sent to your e-mail. Apparently you need to allow four weeks for delivery, on or around 17th January 2011. You'll need to use the points by 30th June 2011.

Not a bad offer I suppose if any of these titles are on your wanted list....

ah but most of these games have been on sale for 800 pts or less in the past and at 1200 pts a game i am not sure it makes this such a great deal.
am sure most if not all these titles will be cheap again. i am after both deathspanks but will hold out me thinks.

shadow complex and trials are in all fairness worth the points shaun as are great games.

So with this offer then, you are effectively getting the games at 1000 points each, assuming they are 1200 to buy atm??

Tried quite a few of these on demo. Shadow Complex, LIMBO & Toy Soldiers are very good I wasnt so sure on Battlefield (but that was on launch) and I thought Blacklight was poor (gameplay wise)

I am sure Tom will vouch for Lara Croft & Super Meat Boy.

If I had the points spare, I would def. go for LIMBO and Shadow Complex.

I wish the new Pacman Championship game was on this list because I tried the demo for it last night and it is great fun

Limbo would be worth a shot but think im gonna hold and wait for it to drop below the 1K points mark. Dont need any new games at the mo

Limbo is beautiful and I really want it but 1600 points is still a little on the high side for me - for 1600 points you can buy all the RDR DLC all in one rolled up pack........

Battlefield is pretty good for an XBLA game. The only problems I have with it are the fact that it only has 3 maps plus one additional dogfighting map and for some odd reason the "area of effect" system has never seemed quite right for example an RPG can land next to you or pretty close and you wont die. You will only die if it hits you directly. Same with Tank shells

I would say Limbo and Plants Vs Zombies offer the best experiences, Trials and Super Meat Boy are best value for points and the rest are just damn good games.....
