Didn't interest me, at least it looked like it could be something a little different I suppose.

Re: WORLD OF TANKS
Sounds like Armored Kill on BF3 on a grander scale and that was not as much fun as it should have been.
I need to be convinced but the footage they showed at E3 looked functional imo

I can imagine its a lot of fun but sooner or later, just hooning around in tanks is going to get a little repetitive surely.

As opposed to the varied and rich game play offered by COD & co that we all put hours and hours into
Have watched a couple of lets play on youtube for this on the PC but to be honest World of airplanes or world of warships looks slightly more interesting, do they have plans for those as well?

Re: WORLD OF TANKS
World of Tanks is excellent, and its not the usual run in and gun affair, you need to be cautious, and apply tactics.
You cany use your piddly beginner tank and go up against a tiger 3 for example. Each team has a mix of different tanks, so there is a balance, and you need to work together.
The people that usually go rushing in tend to get picked off quite quickly.
Depending on the map, you either sit back, and drive your tank into a concealed position, then wait for the early rushers and take them out, then after a bit you can start to flank their positions, using cover to hide as much as possible.
The PC version is free to play, so go give it a try, just remember that the tank you start with is quite weak, but it is a fun game.

Re: WORLD OF TANKS
Got my beta for this last night and it's pretty good, For a F2P title the upgrades and that are surprisingly available without much issue at all.
Gameplay wise it's certainly different, a little slow paced and to me it does seem a little po-faced...

Re: WORLD OF TANKS
yh ive just had a few games
very very very slow gameplay, which is fine, co this is more a tactical affair than i expected
unfortunatly (probably due to it being a beta) the controls arent working properly. sometimes they do, and you have lovely tank manouvering capabilities, sometimes they dont, and you end up spinning in circles, quite exposed, in the middle of a desert
annoying, but may give this a miss till the next time they open it up (the beta "opens up" now and then)

Re: WORLD OF TANKS
Got my beta code lat night, will be downloading this today and taking it for a spin. Have played the pc version and really enjoyed it.
Still unsure what i doing with the 360, either keep it or trade it in. But still got several games to finish, so may end up keeping it. So this will get a fair bit of play time i hope.

Re: WORLD OF TANKS
Actually mate the beta is now 24/7 downtime permitting
Tankers!
We are opening the Beta Server to a 24 hour a day schedule starting at 07:00 PDT (10:00 EDT) on August 7, 2013! Everyone who has a beta key will be allowed to log in and play at any hour of the day, with the exception of server downtime and maintenance that will occur every day at 04:00 PDT (07:00 EDT) lasting for roughly 30 minutes (we'll provide notice on our forums if this takes longer).
We'll continue to send beta codes every week, including this week, so don't worry if you haven't received a beta code yet. We'll soon begin to ramp up the beta so please keep an eye out for that special email. Roll out!

Re: WORLD OF TANKS
A few people including me have had a little trouble with the download mate, sometimes it just stops at about 80% and disappears from the que so you may need to go into your die load history just to restart it.Evosean wrote:i put my code into xbox.com and it worked will try it tomorrow.
