Because you haven't done enough survivin', Microsoft Game Studios and Undead Labs (which was founded in 2009 by Jeff Strain, whose resume includes lead programmer on World of Warcraft) have teamed up to bring a new open-world, online zombie survival franchise to XBLA, codenamed 'Class3.' The premise of the studio's inaugural title was revealed in a press release today:

"The end is here. Human civilization has been annihilated. The few, scattered survivors must band together, rebuilding civilization in a third- person action game packed with sweet guns, fast cars, hand-to-hand combat, and copious amounts of zombie gore. Players choose where to make their stand, designing and fortifying their settlements, performing daring raids for valuable stores of food and ammunition, and rescuing other playable survivors. The open world develops in real-time, shaped by player actions, with content determined by their choices and the ever-increasing zombie threat."

We're a bit burnt out on the undead, but every time a new zombie survival game is described, we just can't help but be a little excited by the potential for another great post-apocalyptic corpsageddon. You can read more about Undead Lab's vision for the game on the developer's official site - it sounds about like what we'd envision for a game based on The Walking Dead. Exciting stuff.

am i the only one bored of bloody zombies? why cant they make a FPS MMO where there are no maps just open cities where you can go and fight where you like?

It does seem like everything has got to have zombies in it atm, perhaps the Halo remake will have them in as well Rolling Eyes

subsciption price? we all know theres gonna be one. past experiances with mmo's have seen my real life suffer so dont think ill be going near this........unless everyone else does lol

Actually the reason there are so little in the way of MMO's is beacause M$ no longer allow subscription games on Xbox Live the only exceptions being Phantasy Star and FFXI
