Mercenaries 3 still alive? Using the Battlefield 3 engine?!?
EA is developing a mystery third person shooter said to be using DICE's Frostbite 2 engine.
In development at its Los Angeles studio, the unannounced third-person shooter will feature a "strong multiplayer focus", according to a job listing spotted by Gamerzines.
The site suggests the game cold be the presumed-cancelled Mercs Inc, the third game in the open-world Mercenaries series previously developed by the now shuttered Pandemic Studios.
Fingers Crossed on this one Frostbite 2 could be the element that turns te series AAA!

Really enjoyed the first one on PS2 but gave the the 360 one a wide berth as I gathered it was a bit ropey. A return to the mayhem of the first would be good and there isnt a much better starting point than the Frostbite Engine - fingers crossed
