That is a 1200 point Arcade game? Fucking hell, it looks great. Have M$ upped the maximum file size for XBLA games recently because that is surely going to eat up a lot of HDD space.

Yeah the limit went up before Xmas mate, This was originally a full retail game but after getting stuck in development hell Ubisoft bought it and finished it as an XBLA title...

Hopefully there is a demo. If this plays as well as it looks then it is going to be well worth a punt. With games like this and the upcoming Trials and Fez, there are some really good arcade releases coming up that are going to be worth picking up Smile

Looks very impressive for an XBLA game.

Scored well on EG: 8/10 although I think IGN only gave it 4.5/10 Scratch

Yeah, mixed reviews. Some reviewers are enjoying it's gritty realism while others find it frustrating

its an XBLA game, all of them have demos. The demo is quite long and gives you a fairly good look at the game as to whether you are going to like it or not. It is a corridor survival horror game though, so no open worlds here. you are pushed down one direction only.

I do like the gritty film overlay they are using.

oh better post up proper thoughts on the demo then, havent bought the game, but possibly will do later.

In the game you have to manage resources in order to survive. Ammunition is scarce, there was a machete you receive early in the demo. You can make choices to help other people, this gives you rewards like a restart from your last checkpoint.

Climbing uses stamina, you have a finite amount so you have to watch what you are doing when climbing larger structures. If you run out you fall and die.

You dont always have to kill someone, you can walk away, or you can try to scare them by holding a gun on them, even if you have no ammo. Then get in close and knock them out, or force them back towards a ledge and kick them off. Or use your machete to do a quick kill.

Sounds good, I quite like the idea of using the fear of being shot as a weapon rather than just wasting everyone in sight just because you can Smile

i tried the trial today, found it pretty good, but at 1200 it's a little steep, saving my coins for Trials evolution which looks like it could be out mid april Smile

Tried the trial today and loved it, I can't see 1200 points being steep for a game that was designed to be released on disc originally.

I agree on Trial Evo though, a must buy already!

Bought this last night and must say it's an essential purchase, The game is genuinely a nerve wracking and inventive experience and for once the choices you make are important because they force you to think about your supplies, could you really do without that medi-kit? etc. Works really well Smile

Hehe, I stand corrected Calum. I will definitely getting it despite not getting the first one as the multiplayer looks like it is going to be a lot of fun Smile
