Beyond Good & Evil 2 releasing this generation afterall?

Ubisoft's ever elusive Beyond Good & Evil 2 will release on this generation of consoles, despite official noises that it's being held back for next-gen.

That's according to a report in the latest issue of Xbox World magazine, which claims that "some sources are saying we'll see it this generation rather than next."

The game, which has been missing in action since 2008's single teaser trailer, most recently cropped up in a leaked video showing concept art.

Creator Michel Ancel recently claimed BG&E2 had experienced "some technical issues." Asked if that was the reason the game won't appear on the current generation of consoles, he replied "Yeah, yeah. That's the reason."

Fingers crossed.
