First Halo 4 screenshots drop...

We have some new images from Halo 4, and they’re fantastic. Looks a bit like Reach, and Microsoft has said that it’s the best looking Xbox 360 game yet.

First thing you can notice here is the amazing lighting on offer. Spectacular lighting has always been the main strength of the Halo franchise, and Halo 4 looks to be even better in that department.

"With Halo 4 beginning a new trilogy, fans of the franchise will return to the beloved franchise, but Halo 4 offers the best chance for new comers to be introduced to the franchise. The graphical paroles will be great entry point for fans to be swept up in the storm that is Halo when it eventually hits store shelves."

These images are taken directly from the engine, and are not bullshots – confirmed by 343 developer. The images are 100% untouched.

Chief is looking very detailed there

Certainly does seem like there's still some life in the old box yet, 343 have been saying today that this is the best looking game on 360 and these screens go some way to proving that

They may be right if it is anything like the first Halo and you get to keep retreading repetitve levels like the Library - such a small array of textures required could be made to be very detailed

arnt folks bored of halo yet - thets face it, all the halo games (except halo wars) had pretty identical gameplay. how can this be any different?
