UEFA Euro 2012 will be DLC expansion for FIFA 12 instead of retail release
Thanks to Electronic Arts embracing the ways of digital distribution, it looks like the days of having to buy a new FIFA game every six months are gone now… well, for the next release, at least. Launching in less than a month's time on 24 April, UEFA Euro 2012 will be the first FIFA game released as a downloadable expansion to a current title – in this case, FIFA '12 – rather than as a retail disc, making it more likely that people will bother to pick it up.
It's certainly a wise move for EA, given that the non-core FIFA titles don't tend to do as well as the main releases. It's also not all that surprising either, considering that EA is currently having something of a love affair with downloadable content - having been the company to introduce online passes and a keen user/abuser of sectioning off bits of its games as DLC rather than putting them on the disc, this was the next natural step. Not that we mind in this case, of course, since it's good to see big expansions like this given the breathing room they deserve.
Those keen on picking up the UEFA Euro 2012 expansion should start putting away Microsoft Points now, as it's set to cost 1,800 MSP (so, roughly £16).

That seems pretty decent. Anyone going to get this? With the amount of Fifa players around here you could try and evently split the teams up and run an internal Euro Championship!

Could set up a tourney with European teams on Fifa 12 there would be no need for it
