38 Studios Bringing Kingdoms of Amalur to 360

38 Studios Bringing Kingdoms of Amalur to 360
Curt Schilling makes his video game debut

Considering I am a Boston, Massachusetts born and bred nerdling, the following news is nothing short of amazing for me.
38 Studios, founded by former Red Sox/Diamondbacks/Phillies ace Curt Schilling has joined forces with acclaimed fantasy author R.A. Salvatore, proud graduate of UMASS Lowell whom still lives in the area, to bring Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning to the Xbox 360 sometime in Fall 2011.
What is Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning you ask?
It is a single player, open-world fantasy RPG with a star studded pedigree behind it. the story is being written by R.A. Salvatore with artwork done by Todd McFarlane, creator of Spawn. The actual game design? That is being helmed by Ken Rolston, the lead designer for both Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind and Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.
More details, including the launch trailer will be released in the coming days at San Diego Comic Con.
Im sure anybody (like me) who is waiting for the next Elder Scrolls game will be wetting themselves at this news. R A Salvatore is a fucking great author of Fantasy writing, particularly his Forgotten Realms books which I have read and re-read on countless occasions.

I have all the books from RAS with Drizzt and 'The Companions of the Hall' in. Although not written in order, they can be read in chronological order, so The Dark Elf Trilogy is definitely the one to start with.
