new style xbox remote

while ms seem to fail on many counts i can honestly say that they have a corking bit of kit here. this is an all in one controller for tv and xbox meaning if you want to simply listen to music or watch on demand tv you can have one device to turn on the tv, control volume and of course navigate the operating system. having looked for a similar device for the ps3 the only thing i can find are devices that require a dongle for the ps3 as it doesnt have an infra red sensor as the xbox does.

the only down side are that the xbox controls are in the upper half of the device and imo they would be better suited on the lower part.

The PS3 Blu Ray remote isn't too bad to be honest. Can be found here.

aye, just a shame that you still need a tv remote as well which is where the xbox controller is fab.

This. I have the PS3 remote and it is good but Sony's insistence on using bluetooth and not including IR really restricts choice.

The 360 one does look pretty nice tbh

i do think that ir will dissapear at some point though.

I agree mate, but I guess that that will start when bluetooth is present alongside IR on TV's etc. Its surely got to be a gradual phase out?
