A couple of my facebook friends have it today. Are they actually banning people for playing it or for posting clips etc. of it online?

MS have stated before that people will not be banned for playing legitimate copies if they have gotten them early.
Only people who have illegal copies are being banned, even though they protest loudly that they havent

Same here mate, annoying thing is I've preordered at my local GAME but my missus gets a 10% discount for working at Asda, that plus I've misplaced my ID so I'm going to have to go to GAME first and if they ID me then I'll have to leg it to Asda and hope they still have copies....
