The UK's flawed prison system hit's the news again...this time Playstation hacking!!

Still makes me laugh that people believe they have all the mod cons etc in there.
I was talking to one guy from prison who said they only have PS2 and the old xbox as they are not allowed something that may connect to the internet.
I would rather be dead than have to play the PS2 again lol

Maybe it is only a PS2 but imo they should have sod all. Bed, toilet, sink and perhaps a book.....if they can read. Would be interesting to know what sorts of games there aloud to play? If someone is inside for beating some poor sod half to death are they aloud to play GTA?

Completely agree, you go to prison to be punished and rehabilitated not to sit around in class playing games.

I would welcome a work system like the US where something like 10% of all products in America are produced by prisoners, get them up and working rather than waiting for parole day...

about a year i used to help a mate recover the pool tables in ********** prison and have found few mobiles in the tables and got told that they have found drugs but i never witnessed it .theres no real security in there ive got a full tool kit including knives ect and cons just stand round me chatting.most cell walls are cover top to bottom in porn and blasting out the newest r&b/dance tune.not once have i been frisked or has anyone even attempted to look in the van when i enter the prison or leave.not sure if its any different now because the corruption was published in the news of the world not long ago.

I wasn't say that i agree with it mearly pointing out what had been said.
Matt i think it has changed now but it would depend on the one you went to and the category it was, when we go we have to hand in our kit.
Drugs and mobiles are rife in all prisons as there is always a way of getting them in, interally or buying someone who carries it in.

I agree with the work programme and remember seeing a prison in the US Arizona i think where the new governor made them sleep in tents outside and wear pink on the gangs!
