EA Willing to Sell You 156 DLC Items
Some news has surfaced this morning of EA taking DLC to the extreme for the as yet unreleased title NHL 11. There's around a staggering 156 items of DLC currently up on the marketplace.
The above screenshot tells the story itself more or less. You will be able to pay for and download attribute points/stat boosts for your players at prices ranging from 80MSP to 160MSP. EA have done this before, but this time have taken it to the nth degree. DLC packs are position relevant so any stat points purchased for a wing position are not transferable to any other position on the field of play.
You may be tempted to think this story is a fake and that I and many other writers have been duped into drumming up an article based on false claims, but to round off this article, I present you with the Xbox LIVE Marketplace link .
The discussion, is over to you...

lmao, good luck with that. That kind of DLC wont sell in this country but in the States it may where hockey is one of the major sports. Its bad news though that people will have shelled out already for a full price game and will then have to stump up for these as well. I genuinely hope it bombs...

i also read this earlier, basically most of the dlc is available for you to earn in carreer mode.
the DLC is a kind of 'cheat' to get stuff early
TBH sport games are not known for there lengthy carrer modes so whoever buys these obviously is teh noob with too much cash

Don't know what all the fuss is about EA have been doing this since Need For Speed Carbon, about 3 years ago. It's always stated the stuff is unlockable by playing the game. It's just they're way of squeezing the extra from those that are too lazy to play a game the way it was meant to be played.

EA should be banned from doing this as they seem to do it on every dam game they release.
