Destiny - Past level 20 explained

I'm enjoying it, but it's not even in the same category as Borderlands which is epppic. Not enough gear drops, and the missions all feel very samey.

I'm at lvl 20, perhaps I'll have to start looking at the nuances of weapons etc.

The game tracks stats. The world first was done by a group who took 10 hours 42 minutes. They died 1606 times. The second kill was done by a group who took 12 hours 46 minutes. They died 1855 times.'

I think it's safe to say that there is not enough zero's in the world to add to my death tally when I start raiding lol

So in the first group alone, everyone died on average 270 times each? Fuck, that is going to be rage inducing

Some info.

You can randomly get Exotic Bounties, you get to choose one of three, the known ones are below. Once you have the bounty there are multiple steps to complete them, none of them are easy. When you get the bounty you don't know what the reward is so it might be worth having a look at the rewards below.



Shattered Memory Fragment
Description: One of our Venus patrols found a memory fragment on the remains of a destroyed Vex. This fragment concerns the final mission of Fireteam Tuyet, lost long ago on Venus’ Shattered Coast. Perhaps one of their Ghosts can be recovered.
Reward: Pocket Infinity (Fusion Rifle)



A Dubious Task
Description: The Warlock Vanguard, Ikora Rey, left a posting here – signed, handwritten, and asking for you.
Reward: Invective (Shotgun)



Toland’s Legacy
Description: Guardians on vital strike missions have found signs of Toland the Shattered, a once esteemed Warlock whose obsessions led to his exile. The Vanguard would like you to investigate his trail.
Reward: Bad Juju (Pulse Rifle)



A Light in the Dark
Reward: Thorn (Hand Cannon)



A Voice in the Wilderness
Description: A Hunter returning from Mars claims to have heard a voice coming from a sealed cache.
Reward: Super Good Advice (Machine Gun)

Reward: Fate of All Fools (Scout Rifle)

I'm working on the Bad Juju but I need to do the weekly strike, the one we struggled on the other evening.....you up for it tonight ? I tried it solo last night, got to the final boss and got mullered but I think I now know a method.

I reached 20.. finished the story.. around 2-3 days ago.

Ive been stuck on level 20 since. I started reading the thing about leveling up and lost the will to live 1/2 thru.

My interest is beginning to wane.

I am getting close to 20 so I guess i will soon see how frustrating the end game grind is I guess.

Talking about grinding, is anyone about tonight to hammer some strike missions?

I should be about, although I havent been on for a few nights and still stuck around level 8.

giz, my exotic bounty is diffrent to those above its for a hand cannon but the description is talking about the Moon..........

oh and part 3 is ridiculously hard

Its slow going after level 20. It takes as long to get to 26/27 as it did to get to 20. After lvl20 its all about your gear, you need gear with Light, its your Light level that gets your over all level up. Blue, purple and a orange gear have light attached. I'm currently half way between 26 and 27, been there for the last 2 days after hours of farming. I have 8 legendary items 4 of which aren't for my character and 1 is a useless Warlock bond.

Is it the Thorn hand cannon? I couldn't find details and images for all the bounties.

Just found out the stage after next for my exotic weapon, get a crucible score of 10000 (75 for a kill, -50 for a death), seeing I usually end a match with a negative K/D this might prove differcult. I have another 20 odd strike missions to complete before I get to start that stage anyway.

See I managed to reach level 20 around Tuesday I think it was. And i read about the light bollocks and all that.. and so I do have some armour with light values.
And sure enough theres a bar bottom of my banner thing thats going up. (So unbelievably slowly its a joke I might add).

And then last night.. something dawned on me. Why ? I mean i finished the story. Its kinda fun to play.. but its not *that* much fun.
Most all of the strike missions I have played are story missions where the enemy health bars take longer to go down because they are level instead of level .

I guess be a blast playing with friends in the same way horde was.. but certainly doesnt feel like as much fun as that to me.

It has to be played co-op single is ok if you're just farming a spawn point but running missions is much better in a group.

Your level will appear not to move but equip a better piece of equipment and it will go up in chunks.
