Looks like Titanfall could be a Halo/CoD/BF beater.

I think the console price is a bit high but if I had Titanfall & Killer Instinct with it I could justify it.

So it may not be a release day purchase, I'll just finish off all my remaining 360 games until 2014.

Most consoles have retail around the £500 mark at release so it's not looking too bad from my point of view...

TBH I was sold as soon as I saw that Killer Instinct logo but the DVR features etc are looking promising and it seems devs are keen to utilize the cloud features

think thats a little harsh tbh reece. in terms of the 360, that they announced it is going to get lots of support for a long time will shut up those that think they will be dropping it immediatly

the conference was just for showing the games. i expect (and eurogamer hinted that they already did an interview and asked about them) that more details will emerge via interviews.

as for the price, yh it sucks in terms of conversion rates. but, tbh, thats always been the way of things with consoles. and other things. i remember as a kid a mate went to america and brought back so many clothes that were dirt cheap compared to here. it does suck, but its not new

If you import from the US and add postage,import tax,customs tax and VAT you would probably pay more than that. Was hoping for a sub 400 tag. See what Sony do.

Maybe Halo given the rate the online populaton of 4 decreased, but I can't see it outselling CoD any time soon. CoD has built up a massive fanbase of casual gamers who buy it every year over the past half a decade. It'll take time to overcome that.

Which ones? :S I think the Wii U was £250-300 depending on the version. The 360 was £280. PS3 (a console which suffered because it was so expensive) was £425. Unless you're adding on for inflation, I can't think of any console that was £500 at release.

Just trying to catch up on this as I have not long sat down for the first time since leaving work. Price is too much imo. PS3 really struggled on launch on that price point and being forced into having Kinect feels like the launch price is being jacked up at MS's convenience.

Looking forward to seeing how Sony approach things but at this point my money is more likely on going on revamping my PC Rolling Eyes

Titanfall certainly looked interesting. Not much else did really. BF was flashy but then so was the build up to BF3 and the SP on that was shit.

Was that Halo clip for the game or Spielbergs TV series? A bit of gameplay would have been nice.

To be honest watching that nothing really made me go wow. I thought it was going to be more expensive to be honest but even at the £430 mark by the time you have brought 4 games there's another 200 quid at least taking it up to £630. You can get a good PC for that price.
I will watch the Sony one tomorrow and see what they have to say

just watched the playstation on e3 ps4 smashed xbox out of the park in big bold typing (so read into this what you want)"you can buy preowned copies of our games" "you can sell your games on" you can lend them to a mate" "you dont have to connect to live every 24hrs to be able to play them" oh the price £349 hmmmm game set and match for me . some great game releases as well destiny looks mint a co op between activison and bungie.

PS4 has definitely won my vote this year. A much better lower launch price, no online check ins and you can lend games to friends!!!
