Ruffian Games canned remake of Streets of Rage
Footage of a very early test build for a remake of Streets of Rage:
Ruffian Games (the guys behind Crackdown 2) pitched this concept to Sega but it never got off the ground. Shame as a remake could have been fun and for an early build I think this looks quite promising although I would prefer the game to have stayed away from 3D
This footage was 'leaked' so lets see how long before a kickstarter jumps up for it or Sega gauge reaction and pick it back up!
Other than Road Rash, are there any old 16bit era games you would like to see brought up to date or that you would prefer to leave to nostalgia?

I agree on the Road Rash front and Criterion could do it justice.
I would love to see a new Desert/Jungle Strike or a new Earthworm Jim

I would love to see Rastan from the Master System.
Loved Streets of Rage, got me thinking about downloading them now

There is a collection with all 3 games Chris. Its reasonably priced as well from what I can remember.
I picked up SOR2 through the arcade years ago and still enjoy the odd blast on it

I spent many an hour on Blades of Vengeance, that would be a good blast.
Good shout Chris, I remember Rastan, Blades of Vengeance was very similar if I remember correctly.
Road Rash would be an awesome remake

If it was Criterion, they could just strip the Cagney update out of Burnout Paradise and add weapons - the bikes were a hoot to ride!

Ok, so I (and Tom) took the plunge last night and picked up the SOR collection. 800 points for the 3 megadrive games.
If anyone else has this set, give me a shout and I will jump on with you for some co-op

Little bit pissed off about SOR, finally decided to download the Sales & Specials app on the dashboard today only to find that if you by SOR through that it's only 400 points -_-

I loved the Splatterhouse remake for some odd reason....

I bought this off the arcade years ago but it has since been removed and when I went to have a crack on it the other night it wouldn't validate as a full game
Shame, nothing like spamming the elbow hit for half an hour lol
